Mentor Protégé Connection Application

2016 Application Process is NOW OPEN thru August 7th, 2015.

Fees:

Application fee: A non-refundable application fee of $100 is due with the application

Program fee: A non-refundable program fee of $1,500.00 is due upon acceptance into the program.

Once a firm has been nominated as a candidate for admission into the MPC the application process begins. The applicant must submit a complete packet, containing all of the required documentation and application fee on or before the application deadline – no exceptions. The application process is rigorous by design, as the candidate must demonstrate the characteristics necessary to be eligible for such a life-changing business opportunity. This process also ensures a worthwhile experience for our mentors, who make such generous investments of their valuable time.

Application Process Overview
  1. Applicant is nominated for the MPC by a qualifying business organization, corporate entity, community leader or MPC alumni
  2. Applicant completes the application form and signs it
  3. Applicant submits the application packet by the deadline, including all of the following:

      1. Signed and completed application form
      2. Name and contact information of the nominating person or entity
      3. Strategic Plan
      4. Marketing Plan
      5. Company tax returns for the most recent three years, including all schedules
      6. Company financial statements for the most recent three years
      7. Articles of incorporation and corporate by-laws
      8. Letter of recommendation from nominating party
      9. Letter of recommendation from a business reference
      10. Non-refundable application fee of $100.00
  4. An MPC member evaluates the packet and certifies the candidate’s eligibility.
  5. A site visit is conducted. Semi-finalists are interviewed.
  6. Protégé vetting.
  7. Candidate is notified of admissions decision.
  8. Protégé firm is informed of the mentor firm assigned. Program fee is due at this time.
  9. Protégé firm attends a mandatory orientation prior to program startup.
